The department of education has published the final EANS FAQ. Please consult the FAQ for questions about the Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools (EANS) Program as authorized by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSA Act).

We have included both the FAQ and a presentation to help guide your school below.

PACAPE Report Spring 2021

PACAPE represents a significant amount of the private school community in PA, and as such is primarily a supportive, networking organization driven by Private School Associations. It is very positively recognized in the public policy community in PA as representing the diverse communities within the private school community. With a small budget, but highly committed participants, it accomplishes a lot that individual Associations cannot do. 2020 has provided our Association several challenges and opportunities that are highlighted in our spring report.

Pennsylvania Education Tax Credits

Take control of your PA state tax dollars and fund scholarships for faith-based education. A collaboration with Christian School Association of Greater Harrisburg and ACSI SPE has developed resources that outline how your school can connect with contributors and move from concept to contribution.

PA Transportation for Private Schools

ACSI and its member schools in Pennsylvania are communication with local school districts regarding PA transportation for private schools. This communication is to request each district's plan to provide transportation for students who reside in the districts who are attending private school.

Help Students Get Back on Track: ESA

Parents were faced school closures this spring and uncertainty ahead this fall.  Consequently, their kids' education has been impacted significantly. Parents are looking for help to get their children back on track.

Pennsylvania lawmakers are considering legislation that would empower eligible families to meet the challenges that lay ahead by providing them with $1,000 per child, which can be used for approved education expenses.

COVID-19 Health and Safety Grant

The Intermediate Unit 1 conducted a online meeting June 16th to introduce and assist non-public schools as they apply for the COVID-19 Health and Safety Grant. You will find attachments outlining the application process, a template and a school reopening planning matrix below.

If you are interested in being included in the grant application, please submit your letter of support no later than Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
